Laine + Alliage is a New York studio led by artist Tania Leipold. Every piece begins as a sketch: a painting, a shape, a line drawn on paper, becoming wallpaper, a rug, a textile or an object.

The studio works in close partnership with skilled artisans around the world: weavers in Nepal, metalsmiths in India, woodcarvers in the Amazon. Each piece is made one at a time, by hands whose craft and care for their land we share.

The work is inspired from the natural world: forests, water, light, the slow shift of color at the edge of a day. Materials are chosen for where they come from and how they were made. Nothing is rushed.

All of it is in pursuit of beauty. Pieces with the depth to live in a space for generations.
